Hiring, without the spreadsheet

Every applicant, every role, one board.

Tillerpost gives a small company a place to post a role, collect applications and move people from Applied to Offer together, with every note and every email in one place.

  • First role free
  • No card
  • Set up in an hour

What it does

Four things that stop hiring eating the week

How it all works

Every applicant on one board

One column per stage, one card per person. Drag a card to move somebody on, and everybody hiring with you sees it straight away, so nobody works from an old list.

  • Drag to move
  • One board per role
  • Everyone sees the same

From posted to filled

One role, start to finish

The same six steps for every role, whether it is your first hire or your fortieth.

  1. Posted

Write the role once. It goes on your own careers page and is ready to share.

  2. Shared

One link for your site, your socials and the job boards you already use.

  3. Screened

Everybody on the hiring team sees the same applicants and leaves a quick yes or no.

  4. Interviewed

Pick a time with the candidate by email, and keep everyone's notes on their card.

  5. Offered

Send the offer from a template, and see the moment it is read.

  6. Filled

Close the role and every other applicant gets a kind reply, sent for you.

In practice

What small companies tell us

  • Hiring bakers

I used to hire from my inbox and a notebook. Now the two people helping me can see the same board, and we decide in one conversation instead of five.

    Wren CastellanoOwner, bakery and cafe
  • Hiring designers

The kind reply at the end is the bit people mention. Candidates who did not get the job still tell us they liked how it went.

    Oskar LindqvistFounder, small studio
  • Hiring shop staff

We only pay while a role is open, so the months we are not hiring cost nothing. That is what got it past our finance person.

Questions

Questions founders ask first

If yours is not here, the form at the bottom reaches a person.

  • No. They fill in a short form on your careers page, on a phone or a laptop, and they are done. Their application lands on the board as a card.

  • Yes. Every role has one link. Put it on any job board, on your socials or in a shop window, and every application arrives on the same board.

  • Only the people you add to a role. Each of them can leave a yes, a no or a note on a card, and nobody outside the hiring team sees any of it.

  • Nothing. You pay per role while it is open. Close it when it is filled and it stops costing anything, with its board and its history kept.

  • For as long as you choose, up to the limit the law where you are sets. You can delete an applicant, or a whole closed role, at any time.

  • One button in your settings, and no phone call. Every role and every applicant exports as a spreadsheet whenever you want it, including after you have stopped paying.
